Steven B. Hayes Born February 14, 1965 in Winston-Salem, NC; graduated Salem Baptist Day School in 1983 and obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1988; obtained his JD degree from Campbell University School of Law in 1991; published author of chapter on ad valorem taxation in Minister's Legal Desk Reference; began the practice of law in Charlotte in August, 1991, with emphasis in personal injury and worker's compensation litigation.

Steve Hayes is licensed to practice in North Carolina, South Carolina and all Federal Courts; his is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association; the South Carolina Bar Association; the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the American Bar Association, the Mecklenburg Trial Lawyers Association and the Mecklenburg Medical Legal Society.

Steve married Jordan Denton Hayes in 2006. Jordan is a native of Belmont, N.C.
